Does Indocara have any principles for doing business in foreign countries?
Yes. All of the products selected for Indocara must meet ecological and social guidelines, which advocates safe and fair production standards. We shook the hands of our manufacturers, walked their grounds for inspection, and entrusted them that there are no harsh working conditions, enforced child labor, and advocacy of deforestation and destruction of natural preserves. We take these policies seriously and work towards making Indocara a highly conscious company for practicing ethical standards.
Are Indocara products mass produced?
No. All of our pieces are made-to-order and not mass-produced. Many items have been entirely hand-made, whereas some have had some machinery assistance to refine details.
Where are the countries of origin?
Our furniture comes from: Jodpur, India; Bali, Indonesia; Chiangmai and Bangkok, Thailand. The accessories are broad in range and are sourced from these same locations as well as a small village near Hanoi, Vietnam. We plan to expand our sources of origin, as long as all ethical and ecological principals are met.
If I see something online that I like, is it available for me to view in person?
Items you view online are either already available to view on our showroom floor, or it could be made available for you to view in person. Please call us if you see something online and want to make sure it is available to view up. We will gladly pull the item from stock and prepare for your showroom visit.
Are there special care instructions?
Yes. Exotic materials, such as Teak, should not be exposed to strong sunlight and heat outlets. Fading can occur when items are exposed to sunlight and cracking or splitting can occur in extreme hot and dry temperatures. Scratches can be covered-up with a stain marker or scratch remover, which can be found at your nearest hardware store. Any liquid spills should be wiped immediately with a soft damp cloth.
Do you offer residential and commercial deliveries?
Yes. Indocara offers customers within a 25 mile range a one item delivery rate of $50, with a $10 fee for each additional item. Beyond the 25 mile range, we will service customers up to 120 miles in distance from our location in downtown Madison for an additional $1/mile each way. If you are located outside the 120 mile range, Indocara can provide you with a quote and make all the necessary arrangements to ensure the security of your purchased goods.
Do you offer special orders?
Yes. We try to keep stock of items that appeal to our customers, but if you want a particular piece in a specific stain or different hardware combination, we can provide you with a custom made item. Special orders usually take 10-12 weeks, and require a 50% payment deposit, while the remaining balance will be due 2 weeks prior to delivery. More accessible items such as textile goods, area rugs and lighting will likely have a significantly shorter waiting time if goods can be shipped by air transportation. Indocara can provide you with more specific information based on your individual needs.
Do you offer discounts for high volume orders?
Yes. Indocara looks forward to working with people in the residential/commercial design and building industries. We encourage you to contact our office to see what options are available based on your requirements.
What are the payment options?
We accept cash, checks, and the following credit cards: Visa, American Express, Discover Card, Master Card.
What is your return policy?
We accept items for return under the same condition they were bought. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly accept a return within 90 days from point of sale. This excludes any shipping costs, which must be paid by customer unless reason for return is damage caused by shipper. A sales receipt at the time of return is required.
